8. Generally people care less about what you know but would rather know that you care

Having knowledge and information may be great but when somebody is going through something they'd rather you take your time to listen than load them with facts. Everybody likes to have somebody who cares not necessarily one who has the answers or the solution. A lesson we as men are learning all the time...

    I agree 100% with this. I met this person who was interesting and fun and I kept on thinking what a great buddy they will make...till I started noticing that they were just good at saying impressive words and sounding like personal growth coaches...yet all I wanted was a person who shows they care about stuff not someone who just says all the right things...and the realization just left me a touch disappointed and wary...

    So true. Do you really think I believe you care about me going to heaven if you don't even care to know whether I had lunch today?
